Highcliffe Castle is a striking and impressive venue for your wedding celebrations. The venue enjoys a stunning cliff top location, overlooking Christchurch Bay and the Isle of Wight, offering spectacular coastal views. The castle is set within 14 acres of charming parkland and has access to a beautiful beach via a gentle footpath.
With the aptly named “Romantic and Picturesque” style of architecture, the early 19th Century building is the perfect setting for your whole wedding day. The Castle is licensed to hold civil ceremonies and partnerships with up to 100 guests in the Wintergarden, a restored stateroom. Alternatively, the Drawing Room is ideal for a more intimate affair with 40 guests.
Wedding ceremonies tend to be held at 11am, 1pm and 3.30pm throughout the week. The earlier slots are ideal for couples celebrating their reception elsewhere, whilst the later slot is perfect for celebrations to continue within the castle.
Depending on the size of your wedding party, the State Dining Room and Great Hall are both available for your wedding breakfast. The Castle can hold up to 200 guests in total, allowing you to invite additional guests to your evening reception.
The stunning surroundings of the grounds and beach provide plenty of picturesque backdrops for your important wedding photographs.
