Nestled within Dorset’s beautiful countryside, Mapperton offers the perfect location for an elegant, enchanting wedding day.
The venue sits beside one of the finest manor houses in the UK and boasts views over formal gardens and water features. The manor house was built in the 1540s and its stunning surrounding gardens have been used as the principal scenery in 2015’s romantic period drama Far from the Madding Crowd.
The All Saints Church sits on the site boasting traditional medieval features, stained glass windows, and exquisite angel carvings beside the alter. The church can accommodate up to 90 guests for a romantic blessing.
Your celebrations can flow effortlessly from the civil ceremony in the Garden Pavilion, to your blessing in the All Saints Church. Following the service, your wedding breakfast will take place on the Croquet Lawn and your drinks will be served in the Orangery.
You have full use of the grounds on your wedding day. Upon exploring the extensive gardens, you will find picturesque walkways, archways and ponds, and you may even discover the secret gardens and hidden grotto. These stunning gardens not only provide the perfect atmosphere for your day, but also the ideal backdrop for your photos. The grounds also offer the perfect space to place a grand marquee for your wedding breakfast.
We can recommend a selection of our trusted suppliers, from quality marquees to delicious food and beautiful flower arrangements.
